Pregnancy Information

  • Congratulations on your pregnancy! To start your OB care at Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH), you must first schedule your OB Intake by calling 719-526-7172. Your OB Intake should be between 8-10 weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period. At this appointment, we will be asking questions about your family medical history such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, and genetic problems. Please discuss this medical history with your family prior to your appointment.
  • You will have some questionnaires to fill out therefore, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will be providing you with educational materials and information on access to care. If you have special concerns or needs, we will address them at this appointment. Your OB physical appointment with your health care provider will be scheduled at 10-12 weeks of pregnancy. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 719-526-7172.

  • Occasionally conditions require obstetric patients to be diverted to another facility. In this case, patients are first evaluated on Labor and Delivery, and any decision to transfer is made on a case-by-case basis by the attending providers.
  • For high-risk obstetric cases that require the expertise of a Maternal-fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist, we offer our patients MFM services at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and/or Southern Colorado at Penrose.
  • For gynecologic services beyond our scope of practice, we refer our patients to specialists at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) in Denver. USHSC is part of the Tricare Network and it's referral specialties include Gynecologic Oncology; The Chronic Pain Clinic; and Reproductive Endocrinology (Infertility).
