The MPBC is located on the third floor of the main facility. Patients should park in the A parking lot, west side (mountain) or G parking lot. Enter the facility through the main west entrance and go to the tower elevators, located next to the Chapel. Take the elevators to the third floor and an MSA will give you entrance to the L&D Unit or MBU.

We aim to give all couples the delivery experience they desire and deserve. We help them begin each new family experience in a personal, homelike environment that includes members of the family. Our L&D and post-partum units contain private suites for every patient, equipped with brand new furniture, state of the art communication tools, and Wi-Fi. Our goals are your safety, comfort, and education.

Our professional nursing staff provides holistic patient centered care and delivers the highest level of care utilizing evidenced base practice.  We empower our patients and their families to actively participate in their care and birthing experience. We also offer eligible mothers the ability to labor in our new hydro-therapy tubs.

Our Physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives provide a unique birthing experience aimed at optimal outcomes for mother and infant and high patient satisfaction rate.

In 2013, our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants received the prestigious Colorado 5 “Can Do” Award, an award that recognizes facilities that promote and support exclusive breast feeding. We offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding and we are in the final phase of certification as a Baby Friendly Hospital.

We recognize that having a baby is one of the monumental moments in your life. The Mountain Post Birthing Center promotes family unity and support, autonomy, and patient participation in decisions. We look forward to sharing this moment with you!

Mother Baby Unit

MBU is a Family Friendly unit so there are no published visiting hours, however children are not allowed to spend the night. The children of patients may visit when accompanied by an adult. For health and safety reasons children that are non-siblings to the newborn under the age of 14 should wait until the family arrives home to visit and will not be given access to the MPBC. To assist us in protecting your newborn infant, the ward has an infant abduction alarm system. For more information, see Infant Security. The Mother Baby Unit provides quality, family centered care to the Army and Air Force Community. Our capacity is 16 moms and their newborns. We have a nursery capable of caring for 6 infants requiring special needs.

Labor and Delivery Unit

L&D offers 9 Labor suites, 4 Triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, a 6-bed Level 1 Special Care Nursery, and a 22-bed post-partum unit.
