Premier Army Health Clinic

Evans Army Community Hospital to Establish an Off-Post Army Health Clinic

Within months Evans Army Community Hospital will establish a new “off-post” Premier Army Health Clinic in north central Colorado Springs.

“We are pleased to announce this new initiative to further enhance healthcare for our Family members and other beneficiaries,” said hospital Commander Col. Jimmie O. Keenan.

The planned increase in Fort Carson’s population and ongoing construction of the new Soldier and Family Care Clinic caused hospital leadership to seek alternative facilities to meet beneficiary healthcare requirements while awaiting completion of the construction.

During September the Evans Primary Care Clinic will relocate its services to the new Premier Army Health Clinic located at 3920 N. Union, on the corner of Austin Bluffs and Union in the Premier Health Plaza building.

The new clinic will be staffed by internal medicine, family medicine, OB/GYN - women’s health and pediatric specialists.  It will offer a full array of laboratory, X-ray, immunizations, and pharmacy support to make it a “one- stop- shop” for its beneficiaries’ primary health care needs.

“The Premier Health Plaza building provides the right space and facilities to accommodate the primary care and women’s health clinics,” said, director of Evans hospital’s department of primary care.  Beneficiaries who live in Colorado Springs will benefit from its central location and new amenities.

Doctors will relocate, and those enrolled with one of these providers will receive their healthcare at the new Clinic.

We are making a concerted effort to let our patients know about this additional opportunity for comprehensive health care.  In addition to media releases, public meetings, interacting with the chains of command, we are mailing personal letters to patients eligible to receive medical care in this clinic.   They can choose to move with their providers to the Premier Army Health Clinic or change providers and stay with a primary care clinic on Fort Carson.

TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries who do not want to relocate with these primary care providers and those who are not currently enrolled with one of these providers but would like to receive their healthcare at the new clinic must visit the TRICARE Service Center on the 2nd floor of Evans Army Community Hospital to request the changes.
