Are you active duty or an active duty family member on Fort Carson not enrolled in TRICARE Prime?  Now is an excellent opportunity to enroll in TRICARE Prime. 

Evans Army Community Hospital Department of Primary Care is undergoing significant reorganization in order to provide better access, continuity of care, and service to our beneficiaries. Comprehensive outpatient care is provided to soldiers, family members, retirees and their family members in three outlying Family Medicine Clinics, in addition to, the Family Medicine Clinic within the hospital. All four clinics are state-of-the art primary care clinics with their own pharmacy, laboratory, immunization clinic and procedure suites.

TRICARE Prime is your only medical care option if you are Active Duty.  It is mandatory for you to enroll in TRICARE Prime. Active duty family members are encouraged to enroll, but certainly not required. However, the TRICARE Prime offers less out-of-pocket costs than TRICARE Standard or Extra. Active duty members and their families do not pay enrollment fees, annual deductibles or co-payments for care received from a civilian provider listed with the TRICARE network. 

As a TRICARE Prime enrollee, you are assigned a provider who manages your care and you will receive most your care at one of the family medicine clinics on Fort Carson. On rare occasions, you may be referred to a civilian specialist for specialty care.

Visit the TRICARE Service Centers (TSC) to enroll in TRICARE Prime or to request a change from a civilian provider in the community to a provider on Fort Carson.
